Professional Experience:
Presently working as a Management information system(M.I.S) in M/s. Comat Technologies (P) Ltd., (LIC) Project, IDA Uppal, Hyderabad, from June 2006 to till today.
LIC of India started an EDMS(Enterprise Document Management System) Project and offered South Indian Region to COMAT Technologies Pvt. Ltd.
My Roles and Responsibilities as a Shift head
There will be 10 departments under me for digitization of the physical copies to soft copy.
Logistics Department : LIC people will get daily 10 - 15 batches(batch means 10 boxes with 100 dockets (docket means Full Information about a one policy holder) each which will be handed over to our logistics department. Hence the logistics employee counts the no. of dockets present/missing in the box by cross checking with a hardcopy CSV(coma separate values). (Goes to next department)
Pre-Processing Department : There will be pre-processing operators who will unbind the sheets in the dockets and segregate them into a particular order given by LIC by putting all mandatory documents on the top and the rest below. (Goes to next department)
Scanning Department : Here scanning operators who will scan the concerned boxes and rearranges them in same old manner. (Goes to next department)
Image QC Department : In this division operators will clean and crop the images, dark images will be made light and they rescan the images to get the quality output. (Goes to next department)
Indexing Department : In this the operators will index the images and saves them to the concerned folders like Policy bond, proposal form, proposal enclosure etc,. (Goes to next department)
Final QC Department : In this department operators will check whether the mandatory documents are scanned, cleaned & cropped as per the Lic’s standards. If they found the batch is fit for LIC QC, then they will submit the batch for LIC officials for quality check. (Here comes the LIC department into picture)
LIC QA Department : LIC officers will check 2% from each box i.e. 20 dockets sampling will be done for one batch(Batch means 10 boxes) either for accepting or rejecting. If the batch is accepted it will go for export department and if not it will go for rework. (Goes to next department)
Export Department : Here system admin people will receive the batch from LIC officials and they will copy all the images into single DVD which will thereafter goes to concerned Divisional Office or Branch Office for uploading into their servers. (Goes to next department)
RMF(Record Management Facility) : In this department all accepted batches physical dockets will be handed over to LIC officials.
Invoice Department : Doing invoicing for every fortnight and sending the Accepted batches certificates to our head office for billing from LIC.
Having Good Knowledge on Excel – VLookups & Concatenate, Graphs and preparing of MIS Reports.
Download the data .Creating Customized reports in Microsoft Excel using Vlookup & Concatenate.
Upload to the Higher Officials.
Updating Campaigns.
Preparation of Weekly and Monthly reports.
Good Knowledge on Internet
